A cyclist in the Philippines was filmed boarding a bus directly.
“Always keep your eyes on the road†is usually the first lesson and perhaps the most important for all drivers. Unfortunately, this man in the Philippines does not appear to have received the memo. Dashcam footage captured the moment a cyclist rode his bike directly onto a bus on a busy road. The cyclist, apparently not paying attention to where he was going, climbed sideways into the bus and staggered as the larger vehicle drove away without stopping. He was filmed struggling to keep his balance and not fall after hitting the bus.
Fortunately, he managed to keep his balance and avoid serious injury. The incident happened in Quezon City in the Philippines on Friday.
In a one-minute clip shared by ViralHog, the rider was filmed riding with a group of three to four other riders. As one of them indicated with his left hand before changing lanes, the anonymous cyclist was caught on camera looking the other way as he drove. He came to regret his mistake soon enough when he hit the bus.
In the video, the cyclist was seen stopping to pick up something on the road before continuing his journey, apparently unharmed.
However, viewers on social media were less than impressed that he attempted – once again – to merge the tracks without dealing with the near miss.
“Then it merges again without looking, I can’t believe it lasted that long…” one commentator wrote on YouTube.
“Wow, that was too close !! It could have been a lot worse,†said another.
