The Jackson Township Photo Store offers photo equipment, film services and more

Van’s Camera has been serving northeast Ohio for 70 years this year. Offering all kinds of photography equipment and services, the local store is basically a one-stop photography store. Mike Vanckunas is the current owner. I met with director Keith Carretta to get more information on this Van camera offers.

Q. What services does Van’s Camera offer? What are the most popular?

A. “We offer custom framing, film developing, printing, photo restoration, photo copying, slide scanning, film transfers, audio transfers, video transfers, camera sales photography and accessories, camera lessons and photo walks, lighting and video accessories.

“Video transfers, scanning slides and copying old photos are now the most popular services we offer. People want to share the happy moments in their lives with family and friends.”

Q. I see you have an online store. Can these products be viewed and/or purchased in store?

A. “Online products are available for purchase in-store.”

Q. If someone is new to photography, where would you refer them?

A. “For the person new to photography, we always start by asking questions and helping them find a product that will give them what they want.”

Q. Can you tell us more about the photography courses you offer?

A. “Our online courses on Zoom are individual. We have five courses that teach you exposure, camera and flash setup, light, photographic decision making, exit and conclusion. You pick a day and time, and we teach you.

Q. Anything you want On readers to know the store?

A. “We want to be your photography guru. We are local and family run. »
