Horrific crash on home surveillance cameras leaves two seriously injured
Spring, Texas – A horrific accident that was detected on a home monitoring system left two people in critical condition.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 18500 block of Forest Elms Dr. on the Cypresswood Subdivision.
Witnesses said an SUV was traveling on Blue Lake Drive at a speed of over 70 MPH when it intentionally struck a sedan. The impact caused the driver of the sedan to lose control and crashed into a parked flatbed trailer.
Spring Fire Department firefighters had to remove the two occupants from the sedan using hydraulic rescue tools. The two occupants of the sedan were transported by Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where they are listed in critical condition.
According to sources, the suspect intentionally struck the sedan in what would have been an apparent domestic incident. Harris County Sheriff’s Office officials said the suspect driving the SUV is the husband of the driver who was seriously injured.
“Charges are laid against the suspect with one count of aggravated assault against a family member and one count of aggravated assault against the male passenger,” said Thomas Gilliland of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. “He was incarcerated in the Harris County Jail. “
