Elegant Summer Wedding at Jorgensen Farms in Westerville
A couple makes Mondays fun again with a weekday wedding.
July 26, 2021 | For Kaitlyn (Rohde) and Adam Thomas, “a case of Mondays” might be a lot better than it looks to most. That’s because the oft-dreaded day of the week was the backdrop for two major relationship milestones: their engagement in 2019 (“a random Monday night at home right before bed,” Kaitlyn says, “I wanted it to be private… so it was perfect and very ‘we!'”) and their delayed 2021 wedding celebration.
“Our wedding was originally scheduled for December 12, 2020,” Kaitlyn explains. “We postponed to November as things started to get worse again, but we got married anyway with our immediate family on our original wedding date in Jorgensen. … The groom had his small intimate wedding in December and the bride had her big wedding the following July!

Of course, the slew of weddings postponed from 2020 to 2021 meant, to say the least, that it was difficult to find an available weekend at one of the city’s most popular venues. Not to be discouraged, the Thomases opted for a celebration on Monday evening.
“Looking in the greenhouse during the ceremony and on the dance floor during the reception and seeing all these people there for us on a Monday night” was the most memorable moment of the day, says Kaitlyn. “It was so cool – 170 of our closest family and friends.”
