Design Pool, LLC. Return to NeoCon with a new Invisible Threads collection
Today, Design Pool, LLC announced that it will be exhibiting at NeoCon, the world’s leading platform for the commercial interiors industry. The event takes place June 13-15, 2022 at theMART in Chicago, IL. It will be an in-person event with on-site and virtual programming.
Based in East Hampstead, New Hampshire, Design Pool is the only pattern library created exclusively for interior designers, with a focus on the commercial interior markets. They partner with digital printers using the latest print-on-demand technology to make customization accessible to interior designers. Their printing partners can print any design from Design Pool’s online library of over 600 designs on various materials such as vinyl flooring, leatherette upholstery, acoustic panels, wallpaper, etc
In addition to introducing NeoCon attendees to their unique online platform and showing them how to use it, Design Pool will be launching a new pattern collection, Invisible Threads. The inspiration for this collection was to use technology to bring the feelings of comfort and warmth that handmade textiles evoke into spaces requiring high performance materials, such as healthcare interiors.
The collection, designed by Design Pool founder and CEO Kristen Dettoni, began with original hand-sewn embroideries. Dettoni then used software to transform these embroidered stitches into digital designs. When digitally printed on the high-performance materials needed in healthcare environments, these designs look like embroidery and handmade textiles. For residents unable to have physically tactile materials in their spaces, these visually textured patterns tap into the soothing and pleasant memories that embroidered textiles evoke.
The name Invisible Threads comes from a Chinese proverb, “An invisible thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break. ever. Dettoni hopes these patterns will provide a sense of well-being to the people who experience them and remind them of the invisible threads that sustain them in their lives. “I believe designers shouldn’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for performance. .People in healthcare facilities or nursing homes deserve beauty.I’m thrilled that we can use state-of-the-art digital printing technology to bring beautiful, unique designs into healthcare interiors.
Design Pool has partnered with New Hampshire-based printer LDI Interiors to digitally print these designs onto EnviroLeather PRINTS, their luxurious line of wipeable, leather-like coated fabrics. These fabrics use innovative technology in performance coatings and formulations and lead the way to fabrics that are durable, high performance and less toxic.
Design Pool will unveil Invisible Threads at NeoCon 2022. Find them on the 7th floor of theMART in booth 7-3050. This event is free for participants.
