Chuck Irons strengthens sales at GEW

UV Curing Specialist GEW announced that Chuck Irons has joined GEW Inc. as Sales Director for North America. Irons’ career spans over 40 years in the industry and has focused on sales and sales management in commercial printing, newspaper and digital.

He has extensive experience dealing with printers and OEMs around the world, primarily in offset printing for brands such as Contiweb and Goss International. Most of Irons’ career has been in the ancillary sector of the company, so he has extensive experience in bringing importance to the component side of a press, whether in the context of ‘a new project or a renovation project.

Robert Rae, General Manager of Sales at GEW, comments, “Chuck’s skills are a perfect fit for GEW as we expand our reach across North America. We already have a dominant position in the label and narrow web, but Chuck will focus on building our part in the sheet and reel offset. We have superb market leading UV and UV LED products that provide the perfect solution to these markets, both in terms of productivity and cost, and Chuck is uniquely positioned to take advantage of that. “

Rae continues, “Chuck will be spending time at GEW Inc.’s headquarters in North Royalton, OH, while being primarily based out of his office in Neenah, WI. His responsibility will extend to North America and he is focused on providing solutions to our customers. It will also support our existing customers and partners in the sheetfed offset industry and is uniquely positioned to support their sales efforts more effectively than ever. Irons has been a member of the Web Offset Association for over 40 years and served on the Board of Directors of the Book Manufacturers Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY.
