Attack on the Glendale Fashion Center filmed by NBC Los Angeles

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an attacker in an assault caught on security camera it happened in the parking lot of the Glendale Fashion Center on Wednesday morning.

According to the department Tweeterthe assault took place at 7:30 a.m. in the 200 block of North Glendale Avenue when the assailant quickly approached the victim as she walked to her car and “kicked her in the side head with the right hand.

Surveillance footage shows the person quickly retreating and standing next to several bags after the incident, while the victim pauses momentarily before continuing through the field.

According to the police, the attacker is between 20 and 30 years old and is of average build. The attacker wore plaid shorts, a black hoodie and a blue and white baseball cap.

Authorities say the attacker appeared to be smoking narcotics and may be homeless.
